Dark Waters End - Submersion
lyrics
Rat King
No more can we fight these impulses to feed. Bound by our desire: brotherhood of greed.
Instinct engaging - mind override
Bludgeon everything that moves. Pulverize all of them. My own will to live must be stronger than anyone’s
"but what's this buzzing in my skull? some muttering ghost, a vague resonating suggestion. a blurred figure
swimming into view. whose blood is on my hands? whose blood is on my hands?"
Focus.
"wavering focus, a face flickers and changes, a stream of strange ideas impeding blind determination. wasn't
there some other way? wasn't there some other way? wasn't there some other way?"
But this carnage feels so good.
Natural selection has no mercy. For the lesser there is but death.
Natural selection has no mercy. Shed your honor and save your precious neck.
We face extinction. We hear its steps. We find the horrors: what fear does to men.
Survival must be mine. Survival must be mine.
"But wait wait wait. What was I before this moment? I swore I saw a phantom with my face in some kind of
faded torrent of people. I know them. I knew them. I knew them"
Focus.
"Shit, it's fading away. I can't seem to hold onto anything. But does it matter? I cannot possibly be more than
I am in this moment, for there is only now and the task at hand. I swore there was another way."
Fuck it.
Natural selection has no mercy. For the lesser there is but death.
Natural selection has no mercy. Shed your honor and save your neck.
Pride is weakness.
Lost and frantic, ravenous tide. Trampled bodies pile.
Groping masses hopelessly climb. Writhing tower rise upward, rise.
Madness has its hold. Broken bodies fold.
Avalanche of meat absorbing the fleet. Mangled bits abused, pressurized, and fused.
Gurgling colossus: flesh and bone congealed. Paralysed and helpless, the fate of the rat king, sealed.

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
